Up-cycling from Grandma’s House

After seeing many adorable earring displays in magazines or on Pinterest, I decided I was going to make my own version.

My materials were:
Once the frame was clean, I painted two coats of gray paint and let it dry for 5 hours. I then measured and cut the jute ribbon to fit the frame. I applied the hot glue in small 6 inch strips so I could press the jute in before it dried. Once the jute filled the frame, I added a strand of hot glue on top of the jute (on the back still) to ensure it was secure. Finally it was ready for the earrings!

The frame only took 30 minutes to make and is the perfect addition to my bathroom.

XOXO,

katie
