Spirit Week, Recruitment and School
Spirit Week and recruitment are now over and school has begun. It is so nice to get back into my schedule and a normal routine.
Spirit Week was filled with a lot of practicing, singing and growing closer to my sorority sisters. One day during the week we did a sisterhood activity where we wrote uplifting notes to each other. It is amazing what a difference something so simple can make to the overall morale of a group. The week was long, but I feel so much closer to all the girls after having this experience together.
After Spirit Week, we started recruitment! It was so exciting to talk to girls all day about who they are and what they are interested in. From the singing and talking all day, my voice started to sound pretty rough but Starbucks Calm and Refresh tea with 2 honeys took care of it instantly! My favorite day of recruitment was pref night. One girl that I talked to that afternoon showed a major interest in Kappa Delta. We had so much in common and I could see her fitting in perfectly with my sisters. I was oh so excited when I found out the next day she was going to be a KD! I immediately signed up to be her bid day buddy. We have been hanging out and visiting ever since! Maybe future little?!
Congratulations to PC 15! You are beautiful and we are so excited to call you our sisters!
School and work started back on Monday. I feel like it is going to be a great semester! My classes seem interesting and doable as long as I continue to manage my time wisely. There are also many events and opportunities that I am looking forward to. I am going to make a strong effort this semester to be more active in the organizations I am associated with. I know that the opportunities they provide are full of lifetime connections and events that will help set me apart and become more well-rounded.
Cheers to a great semester and the experiences that are soon to come!
XOXO,
