Southern {cooked} Cabbage

For me this dish is a healthy comfort food. It is especially great when it is cold outside. It serves 5 and can be made in under 30 min. Whoo! All about easy meals!

Ingredients:

1/4 c. water

2 green bell peppers
1 white onion
5 garlic cloves
2 jalapenos 
1 med. green cabbage
2 lbs. hamburger (I used white tail)
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 T. ground black pepper
 
First brown the meat. 
 
 
Then roughly chop the onion and garlic and add to the cooked meat mixture. 
While the mixture is cooking, wash and cut the bell peppers, cabbage, and jalapenos. 
 
 
Add these vegetables to the mixture and mix well.
 
Cover the pot for 5-10 min to let the vegetables cook down.
Add pepper and other seasonings to taste and mix in oil well.
Cover for another 3 minutes.
