The Love of Our Father || Focus on Him
Spent time today to reflect on this past week’s Walking with Purpose verses.
“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10
“God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
“Fear not, I am with you; be not dismayed; I am your God. I will strengthen you, and help you, and uphold you with my right hand of justice.” Isaiah 41:10
This weeks WWP lesson reminded me of a blog post back in 2014 on what defines you. I talked about the common things we let define who we are, and how this negatively effects our perception of ourselves. Galatians really touches on this- our work should be focused on bringing glory to God, not to ourselves or the way others will perceive us based on our actions.
Reading these verses serves as a good reminder to focus on the Lord, and put our trust in Him, knowing that He wants the absolute best for us, and will take care of our every need-in ways that will bless us far beyond what we can even imagine.
As long as we are working to serve & honor Him, He will take care of us. Also, this is when Christ can truly shine through us which is the most beautiful quality of all.
“The moment we stop letting other people define us is the moment we let God refine us.”

Katie, regarding other people defining us….a quote I heard many years ago that has been relevant to me is “what you think about me is none of my business”. I think it is very important to not allow other people to define a person. I like your quote because it extends the one I have used. xoox
