I’m Going Abroad!!!

In SIX DAYS I will leave to go abroad for over a month! I have traveled internationally before and I am very excited to have this opportunity again. I will be traveling with Texas Tech University to fulfill my study abroad class requirement. I will be taking Retail in Scotland and Wine Tourism in Italy. Needless to say, I am VERY excited to take these classes over the summer.

My journey will start in Scotland where I will stay for a week before flying to Italy to tour the wine country. I plan to update my blog frequently throughout the trip with the new things I am experiencing.

I picked my study abroad programs based on interest and potential future careers. While I am currently studying business, I am very interested in how retail plays a part in the business world-especially the wine industry. These programs truly lined up with my interests and the timing needed to complete both. (Thank you Lord.)

Currently, I have been working on packing. During the trip I will frequently be changing locations and traveling on trains and planes, so logistically, I can only bring one small suitcase. This has been quite the challenge for me. I am a very bad (read: heavy) packer, so I have been working on finding the perfect versatile clothing. This takes more planning than you would think.

I am very excited about this opportunity to go abroad and I cannot wait to share my experiences. I will update again soon!
