Edinburgh is Breathtaking

Today was my first full day in Edinburgh. It was fabulous!

After breakfast, we took the bus on a panoramic tour of the city. After seeing many of the local sites, we were dropped off on the Royal Mile which led us up to the Edinburgh Castle.
My favorite exhibit at the Edinburgh Castle was the Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny. They are both Scottish ‘Honours’ and the oldest Royal Regalia in Britain.
We ate a quick lunch before walking through a local park in Newtown Edinburgh. It had such a wonderful view of the Edinburgh Castle.

Later that afternoon, we walked from our hotel to Holyrood Park. On the way there, we passed the Palace of Holyroodhouse- a place for the Royal Family to stay when they are in town.

The hike up the mountain hill was so steep, but definitely worth it. We made it to the top of Arthur’s Chair and the views were breathtaking!

I am LOVING Scotland!
XOXO,
