Arrived in Edinburgh

Wow what a journey so far! After traveling for over 22 hours, I am completely exhausted. Not to even mention the 6 hour time difference. I will sleep so well tonight!
My morning started with coffee and good conversation on the way to the airport. Absolutely perfect!
Once the first flight landed in JFK, I was able to catch up with my family before meeting up with my retail group and boarding the plane to Edinburgh.
On the plane ride there, I totally lucked out because the middle seat next to my window seat was empty. In addition, the Scottish college guy sitting next to the aisle was so cute and talked to me the whole way there. (This never happens yall!) He even made me a list of places to visit and got my luggage out of the overhead bins. Score!
After arriving in Edinburgh, coffee was the only thing I wanted. Costa is a popular coffee shop here so of course this was on my list of places to try. It either tasted really good or I was too tired to know. Either way it was really strong – just what I needed.
Instead of a to-go, here it is called “take-away”. Ha so cute!
Together with my group, we took a bus to the hotel to store our luggage for a few hours before check in. This gave us time to explore the area and get lunch.
Getting through the jet lag is always a little rough the first day. I was so thankful when it was finally time to get in our room so I could rest.
With the small tour of Scotland I took today, I am excited to see what tomorrow brings!
XOXO,
